I love this set. It's of normal size, the spoon is nice and wide so I don't feel like I'm using a toddler's silverware while eating (holding on with my finger tips, taking teeny tiny, itty bitty bites at a time).
The knife is a butter knife basically, which is more useful to me than a sharp one since I always have a couple of those on me anyway. Plus it could always be sharpened if needed.
It fits together nicely so I don't have jangling or lost silverware rearranging itself in my pack. A huge plus.
The fork tines could be sharper... I might do something about that myself one of these days, but it's decent as-is, especially compared to other camp forks I've tried.
It's a little heavy, but for the price that's fine with me. If you were really on a budget, and also worried about weight, you could drill holes out down the handles to lighten it up a bit. Just a thought.
Overall, my very favorite silverware set for any kind of camping.
Basically, the product is heavy duty, but the fork for nesting reasons is crimped together and slightly difficult to use,(tines are a little close together and makes a little hard to spear a solid piece of meat). but works fine with some effort.. I have no regrets buying this kit, which includes a plastic pouch to store it in. It is sturdy and more substantial that others I have looked at in the stores. I use them for camping and picnics at the state parks. I bought five and would definitly buy again.
I like that they're stainless steel and fit together in a set. Got 4 sets, put 2 in a vice to tighten the knife handle where things fit together. The fork tines are so close together that it's more like a spoon, and was not easy to "spear" any food-or twirl spagetti with. The packaging was not re-usable: no snap close as described, but basically the sets worked fine for our little trip. Will use next time, too.
