Cold Steel Trench Hawk -
The tomahawk has been recognized as an essential piece of outdoor gear for centuries. It doubles as a camp utility tool and defensive weapon. Cold Steel’s Trench Hawk takes the basic tomahawk design to the next level. A drop-forged and differentially hardened 5150 carbon steel 8.75"L head has a 3.5"W primary cutting edge for chopping and slicing. The opposite end sports a wedge-shaped spike for puncturing or loosening soil. The Trench Hawk’s twin business ends also make it an accurate and effective throwing Ax. The polypropylene handle is highly shock- and impact-resistant and will withstand abuse that would easily break even a tough hickory handle. Trench Hawk comes with a patented Secure-Ex™ sheath featuring an articulated design.
Overall length: 19".
Weight: 24 oz.

Cold Steel Trench Hawk Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Awesome!!

This thing is pretty cool, I was assuming that the spike on the back would also be sharp (besides the very tip) but it's not and that isn't that bad and I thought there would be a belt loop but nope. So ill just have to make one and I might just sharpen the spike as well.. When It came in I instantly wanted to go try it out and this thing is deffinatly worth the money.

Cold Steel Trench Hawk

I am a big fan of the Cold Steel company products and didn't hesitate to buy the Trench Hawk when my son and I came across it in the Reno NV store. It was very cool looking, seemed well balanced and looked like a lot of fun. I was a little concerned about the plastic handle attached to the heavy steel head, but I was convinced that Cold Steel wouldn't sell a piece of junk...turns out I was wrong. After just a few days of using the ax the handle broke right where the head attaches to the handle. So disappointing! We are going to look into getting a replacement handle, or maybe making our own out of hardwood, but I really didn't expect to be in this position after less than a week with the ax.

Handle broke

The plastic handle on this ax broke within a week of use, and I would not recommend this ax.
