Adds Great Warmth, Easy to Keep on Hand

I bought two of these: one as a sleeping bag liner for camping, and the other to keep in my car trunk for emergencies.

On my most recent camping adventure, I brought one along to use as a liner for my new sleeping bag. Turns out my bag was warm enough without it (yay!), but I still got to use this around the campfire at night and in the morning. It was so nice to snuggle into while chatting into the wee hours of the morning. And when I finally did go to bed, I discovered my sleeping bag was too warm already so I lent the fleece bag to my friend who was shivering. She said it really warmed her right up, and we both agreed that it is very soft and cozy.

I think I will order one more so I can have two in my emergency kit-- it's great that you can zip two together into one larger bag, which could be a real life-saver in an emergency if someone has hypothermia.

I got two of the same color: gray. Since I wanted gray, this was great! My second choice would have been red. These also apparently come in orange, light teal, and kiwi green, but there is no color choice so you get what they send.

The only thing I didn't like is that the zipper doesn't quite come all the way to the folded 'edge' in the bottom corner-- this leaves a gap of about three inches where your toes can stick out and cold air can come in. This is an artifact of being able to unzip/unfold the bag into a blanket shape, and being able to zip two blankets together to make a big bag. It's not really a big deal, but I did wish it weren't there.

Soft and Cozy

I bought two of these to put in an emergency kit in the back of our SUV in case we get stranded somewhere. My wife snitched one to wrap up in while watching TV, so I bought a third one for her to keep in the house. She loves it because it is soft and warm. Unfortunately you can't choose the color. I was lucky enough to get two the same color out of three, but I don't think a person could count on that happening often. They roll up fairly small and fit back in the mesh bag they came in. These are a great deal for the price!

Comfy, Warm and Packs Small

I am taking this sleeping bag with me on an overseas mission trip. I had to find one that packed small but was also warm. This does both and I love it! It is soft and light weight, long and wide enough that I don't feel claustrophobic at all, and packs so small I can fit it in my suitcase. This was a great purchase and I know it is going to last a long time. The only drawback was that you cannot pick out the color but besides that I highly recommend it!

i like it

The fleece bag was great.we have used them for 5 nights backpacking during nights that w temp about 65-75 deg. I Bought two because they can be zipped together. the zipped teeth and the zipped are a nice size and easy to hold. You can't pick the colors but we ended up with green and grey. but who cares about color when you are cold or sleeping. they are just a single layer of fleece and in a nice stuff sack which is a third mesh. I am glad i bought them.

I used this in Ulverston, UK. It was for indoor use in a dormitory setting in an historic building that did not furnish heating. It was perfect to fulfill my needs which was to be kept warm at night. Wish I had been given a different color, but ultimately it made no difference. Now it is tucked away nice and small which was another concern when I was told I needed a sleeping bag. This is no bigger than a basketball in it's own little bag. Love it!

Good warm weather bag worked as expected

Nice bag for summer camping. Really nice for nights in the mid fifties. Upside: Price, at [$] and change it's almost disposable. light, easy to carry, fleece comfortable, makes a nice blanket unzipped flat. Downside: If you move around much when you sleep, you will likely get twisted up before morning. I chalked that up to the nature of fleece.Slept in this for six nights in the Blue Ridge mountains this past June, did not need or wish for a different bag.

We had originally purchased 2 of these for our girls and I had found them to be comfortable and it adds extra warmth to our already warm and cozy mummy bags which was so beneficial during our recent trip to Yellowstone this past June where we endured rain, snow and hail. I ended up purchasing one for myself thereafter. They are great for summer camping as well as you don't need a sleeping bag. A great buy!

Just what I thought it would be.

Used this for a mountain hut trip. It worked great. Soft and comfy under the wool blankets supplied by the hut. I was looking for a liner but chose this because it was on sale and you can zip 2 together to use as a double bag when tenting with my husband. Also it is not mummy shaped which my husband likes so he has leg room.

Love this!

This is like a big warm fleece blanket but much easier to use than a blanket. It unzips on 2 sides so you don't have to crawl in and out of the top. This is a great emergency item to have in a car during winter travel. I was sick with chills and fever recently and I used this bag to keep warm while I recovered.

Great Sleepingbag Liner

I bought one of these (Coleman) thru the Exchange system at Fort Dix. I'm an avid Scouter and backpacker. My biggest issue has always been, being cold at night due to poor ratings on sleepingbags. I have several, but always bring the wrong one. Doesn't matter anymore. Use this as a slepping bag liner and you'll be toasty warm. Have highly recommended this to several friends.

Negative Reviews:

Poor quality purchase

These bags arrived with a petroleum type of smell. So strong we aired them out and it still didn't go away. Great value, but the smell isn't worth the purchase. There's no way I could even begin to sleep in one of these, the smell is that bad! Returning asap.

Neutral Reviews:

I bought two of these on sale. I am really happy I didn't pay full price. While the quality is acceptable for adding warmth to a sleeping bag, or as an extra throw, the colors were awful.
There is no color selection and I ended up with a dull gray, and an ugly rust color. Not even 2 of the same color. So don't be fooled by that nice bright red one that is shown on the website.
My bad for not checking into the color situation further. I will keep them because they launder well and so far no pilling.
If you don't care about color, this is a decent buy on sale.

Good general-purpose bag.

I bought this to backup a regular 45-degree sleeping bag. The zipper works well and is reliable. This bag works well for cool nights and as an extra layer for cold nights. It packs tight into it's own mesh bag. I've used this about a half-dozen times and it hasn't pilled yet but it has stretched in a few places and seeds will get stuck in it; pick the seeds out before you pack it else they'll get stuck in there real good and you'll get something poking you the next time you're sleeping. Basically, don't let this bag touch the ground-->not recommended for backpacking.

Wash to remove the smell.

I plan to use as a liner when blankets are supplied at huts. It seems well made.
As received it had a strong chemical smell which did wash out.
