Hot light

I first got it for camping. Then I started using it in the fish house. On mild winter evenings and nights, it gives off not only a lot of light but a mild amount of heat. There have been times I have not had to run the heater but am comfortable with the small amount of heat emanating from the lantern. The only thing negative is the glass shield. It's guaranteed to break one day. It just hasn't, yet. Otherwise, it would be bullet-proof.

Good value.

This is a good cheap lantern. It does everything as well as the more expensive models. The only exception is the lighting of the mantels. This lantern has the mantels too high to light easily. You will have to use a match,or some other item to push up into the lighting hole. A lighter will NOT work without taking off the glass globe. It burns well with an adjustable brightness. Overall, a bargain and a good light for the money.

Negative Reviews:

Poor quality

The top of the lantern is held in place by two flimsy sheet metal brackets. When they bend and twist the glass rattles around out of place. The worst part is the control valve. If bumped at all it opens, spewing propane and draining your cylinder. I bought this for ice fishing and keep it in my portable and I can't leave a tank on it or it will be empty when I get to the lake. Please don't buy. Buy anything else. I think the manufacturer is just selling off their name. It will be the last product of theirs I purchase. Extremely disappointed.
