Works perfect!

Rating:*****
This product is perfect for expanding one's camping menu. We were getting tired of stovetop and BBQ meals, so thought we'd give this a try.

It bakes very evenly and is true to temperature. We found the best way to use it is to turn the heat on high, and then about 25 degrees from the desired temp, turn it down a little. Then it seems to maintain the right temp with very little adjusting.

Our food did not burn, nor was it undercooked. We baked garlic bread, chicken enchilada casseroles, cinnamon rolls, pizza and all are great! Fits a 13x9 pan nicely. Can't wait to use it more often!

Swing and a miss

Rating:*
I took it home, fired it up and realized the door doesn't shut well. I don't know if heat expansion of the sheet metal did it or what. Had to push the door corners with a piece of wood to get it to latch shut. The door catches are cheesy and do not work well at all. Poor quality for the price and will be returned. I can't believe a replacement unit will be any better. Too bad the Brinkmann is no longer produced.

Questionable Durability

Rating:***
Got this to bake bread at our big camping event. Oven is just big enough to hold 2 full size bread loaves, so I'll have to bake in 2 batches. The unit was damaged when I got it, either in packaging or shipping. The alluminum skin is rather thin and bent so much that one of the end pieces almost came off. I sent it back for another one. Despite the material being thin, this oven is very bulky and heavy and is only suited to car camping or tailgating. One 16 oz. cylinder is good for four hours or so which is long enough to bake bread with. A carry case is available but costs extra and you definitely want to get this case to keep it from being damaged.
