Great stability

Bought this about a week ago and I've had it out once. My daughter, wife and myself were all out in it with a cooler 2 fishing poles and some other gear. The stability is amazing. On the way back in we encountered very high winds (20-25mph) and were having to ride wake larger than normal for a still water lake. Even when accidentally taking on the wake sideways the boat was stable enough to keep us upright. The only problem I had with the boat was that it is very susceptible to wind moving it, but that's not a problem. I iwll be adding a trolling motor this week and trying that out.

Awesome little Canoe

I was looking for boat that I could transport easily without a trailer. Went into Dicks and saw this. Was sold on it when I saw the price and transom mount. Its easy to row but I put a Minnkota 55lb thrust trolling motor on it. Moves two adults easily at 5-7mph in calm waters. I even had three adults on this the other day and it still ran great. Only complaint was the screws on the seats were loose when I bought it, and one of them fell out. Tightend the others down and no problems now. Cant really beat this one for the price, I would definitley recomend!

Old kayaker turned scanoer

I have been kayaking for 30+ years but back injury ended all that!!! With my scanoe and a 55lb minn kota trolling motor I am back on the river! No New River Gorge or Gauley Rivers , but took it on the upper New at about 8' and had a great day on the river. Little boat did a great job with 2 people and gear. I am loving being back on the river with little effort or cost either!!!!!

registration problem

amazing canoe, very stable even with 3 people, but due to the fact that it can support a trolling motor, it must be registered like any other vehicle would, atleast when use in florida waters. the store was a mess when trying to get the MSO signed. all aside, if your state has no problem with a trolling motor on it, go for it

Love Love Love It!

After much searching, we decided on and purchased our Scanoe on May 14. We put her in the water at Beaver Pond on Lewisville Lake the next day. Don't let the weight full you. I helped my husband lift and load it on top of our SUV with no problems. Can't wait to take it out again and bring the dog along as well.

1st time canoe

river/ creeks / some lake back water / fishing
its pretty stable but i have nothing to compare it to , its a lil heavy for 1 guy to put on top of my suv alone im thinking of trying a electric motor or possibly an small mud motor i do like being able to get places where other boats cant go !

Great buy and ride

I just bought the scanoe yesterday and i spent the entire day on it in a state park lake today. It provided a great ride and handled the choppy water from the wind like a pro. Easy to paddle and perfect weight for two people to put on and get off the car. Had a blast.. the price is right!

WOW!

This Canoe is amazing. It is easy for me to carry and handle on my own and I love to be in it out on the lake. Another good thing is that I am not afraid it will tip over in rough wake like most canoes. This is great for anyone!

Missing mine

I bought one of theese back in 1992,little heavy to portage by yourself any distance, but it can take a wake from a power boat and ride the swell sideways with no problem due to the width.Cant wait to get another one.

Negative Reviews:

Poor Workmanship

I bought the Scanoe on Saturday June 11TH and didn't put it in the water till the 18TH. As I loaded it on the car in front of the store I noticed a bolt was missing from the seat. . I put the bolt in before I left the store. After I got the Scanoe home I noticed another seat bolt had fallen out. On Saturday the 18Th I put it in the water for the first time. I thought it did well and was easy to maneuver. I loaded it on the car and was tying it down when I noticed one rivet stern end had pulled completely out and another had pulled through the plastic where the grab handle was. when they brought the new replacement Scanoe out one of the rivets was already pulled through and two other Scanoes fresh off the truck had bad rivet workmanship as well as loose seat bolts. If you want one of these Scanoes check it very carefully for poor workmanship. I would not recommend purchasing this product. The workmanship is terrible.
