Columbia Sportswear Fieldmaster II Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

This is a great watch! Low profile, with a very comfortable band, and definitely an eye catcher. I've received many compliments on this watch and I've only worn it a couple of times. The one thing I would warn is that the stem on this watch is pretty long. If you wear your watch on the right hand it's not an issue at all. However, if you wear it on the left, like me, it can irritate the top side of your hand quick. Overall I gave this watch 4 stars and would definitely buy it again, but just be aware of the stem. Most importantly Zappos is such an awesome company that they make any transaction risk free!!

I bought this just before leaving for Army basic training. Its great because it features 24 hour numbers under the traditional 12 hour numbers. Military uses 24 hour time so this makes it very easy to tell time in that format. Rugged and simple, this watch is something affordable and practical for anyone in the armed forces.

Great watch! Inexpensive, it has a nice big simple dial with date. The strap is comfy but the loop to hold down the strap when its closed doesn't move so if you have small wrists a large excess of strap might be loose.

It is a nice watch with a clean uncomplicated look. The strap has a slight sheen to the nylon material. The date/time-setting stem does dig into the top of your hand sometimes.

Negative Reviews:

I bought a similar watch (the Ravenous) for my husband six months ago. Buyer beware. He loved the watch - the style and comfort were exactly what he was looking for - but the watch died after six months of normal watch use. Zappos customer service suggested that I get a new battery. Um. Not what I was expecting for a six-month-old watch purchased from a company renowned for their customer service. I called Columbia next, to find out what kind of battery to get. No help there - apparently, all their watches are licensed and are manufactured by a company called Parsec Enterprises, who apparently also makes watches for Kate Spade, Orvis, and Nike. I recommend sticking to a watch that is actually manufactured by a company that will stick by their product (read: not Columbia).
