Columbia Sportswear Flightfoot -

Weighing in at 6.9 ounces, the Columbia Women's Flightfoot Hiking Shoe keeps the weight down while you run on trails, backpack to a close destination for a day or two, or casually stroll across the city. Its mesh upper provides all the air your foot needs when you sprint up the steepest part of the trail, and the webbing structure supports your foot more than you'd think in a low-profile, minimalist hiking shoe. Techlite cushions your foot with advanced impact absorption, pressure relief, and stability that's completely necessary when you traverse moderate terrain. It's also treated with an anti-microbial agent so your foot doesn't smell like it should after a couple miles of trekking through the hot heat of Utah's finest deserts.
The Flightfoot's protective rubber screenprint complements its low-profile design while still protecting your foot from abrasion. Its Omni-Grip sole ensures positive traction and stability, and its design gives the right grip in various environments whether you hike over the Rocky Mountains or glide through the hard-pressed beaches in Maine. With the Flightfoot, you'll always have a pair to take with you across oceans on European tours, so you can stay comfortable on cobble-stone streets in Germany then run across beautiful trails in Cinque Terre, Italy.

Columbia Sportswear Flightfoot Review:

Reviews:

I was so disappointed with these shoes, really. I'm a walker, hiker, and very light runner, and I was looking for a comfortable, supportive, sturdy shoe that was less flashy than most everything available for women these days. I trust the Columbia brand for hiking and camping, and I watched the video here on Zappos and was intrigued. Like the video stated, these shoes are light yet sturdy, and they feel solidly made. However, I have honestly never worn a shoe designed for walking/jogging that was so uncomfortable. I have ever needed a tremendous amount of support, but I was left aching after taking the shoes on a short, 3 mile, "test" walk. They are incredibly stiff, with absolutely no padding or support. I felt like I was pounding bare feet onto concrete, and the effect was jarring.
