Columbia Sportswear Road to Rock Pants Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

These are nice pants. They have a little bit of stretchy-ness to them without being clingy. They re nice and long and fit really well. And I say that they re nice and long because I usually hand dry my pants so that they don t shrink length wise in the dryer. I m 5 8 and 158 lbs. I like some others ordered down and got a 10 and they are perfect. My only criticism would be the color. I got both the beige and black and the black pair aren't a nice bold black. I m wearing them for the first time today, and have washed them once. They are almost a worn out faded looking black, which, if you re wearing them for hiking or ultra-casual days, that s fine, but I m wearing them to work and they almost look like a deep charcoal color rather than black. Oh, and they re very comfy.

Bought these pants for cold weather hiking-so far so good in the low 30's-plan to use them into the 20's and then with some thermals if colder. I usually wear a size 8 in Columbia pants but plenty of room-even in the 6-for a thermal layer. I also have shorter legs for the regular length (I'm 5'6"), so cuff the pants at the bottom-they hold just fine-boot cut leaves plenty of room for boots-not ideal for those wishing for a slimmer cut. Fabric seems very durable-seem built to endure!

These are a good "go to" pant. I am 5'7"", 122 lbs. & got the size 6 because of the cotton content. They are a relaxed fit, but not too baggy. These are good wind breakers, but fabric feels super cold in lower temps. Columbia always puts quality in their products, and these are no exception. Excellent pant!

I wanted to add something to my review, regarding what other reviews said: The black that I got is a nice solid black, not muted like another reviewer said. And they stayed black after several washes/dries. Also, I did not have any problem with wrinkling at all.

Love these pants! Low waist, but not too low. They run slightly large but they shrink. Length is good (I got 32 length size 10 and I am about 5'4"). Cotton is soft and not too thin. So comfy that I got a second pair.

Negative Reviews:

The main issue I have with these pants is they wrinkle like crazy when you wash/dry. These pants are too high maintenance for their proposed purpose. Columbia failed with these pants.
