Columbia Sportswear Benton Springs Full-Zip Jacket

Just got it, so hasn't been washed or "field-tested" yet, but I love it. Bought this to replace a beloved fleece I've had for years that was wearing holes in the pockets and driving me crazy because of that (I NEED pockets!) Have been looking forever for the right jacket to replace the old one.

This one is soft, comfy, attractive, and seems it will be very functional. The trendy, "flattering" fit may make it a tad difficult to fit over other layers - seems a little impractical. And I personally could do without the elastic drawstring at the bottom, but I can cut that out. Generally I love it. I would describe it as medium or slightly more-than in weight/thickness/warmth, so maybe not as appropriate for indoor/ warmer situations as my old one. But very soft and nice - cuffs snug enough without being tight, pockets comfy for hand-warming but look to be fairly durable, with zippers for security. I ordered "beet" which is a beautiful color, but not quite as it looked on my monitor - somewhat dusty/muted quality to the color, and a tad more rusty red than it looked on screen. But very attractive, and very good price for Columbia quality.

Overall happy w/ this jacket. I've only wore it a few times so far, but overall it's a great for everyday use. Warm, but not too warm - great for layering. I also purchased the Benton Springs Fleece vest which I'm loving. The cut on the vest is slightly roomier in the mid section and chest which I like. Don't get me wrong, I like the fitted style of this jacket and the vest has the same fitted style, but it just seems to be cut a little roomier. I think it's always a battle for women - it's either too fitted or it's too boxy. This is a good compromise overall.

I wore my first one out and bought a second one. I wear it almost almost everywhere three seasons out of the year. It's appropriate for my very casual lifestyle. The charcoal gray color goes with everything. It is warm and comfortable, fits me well, and has both inner and outer pockets. The quality of the fabric and construction is very good. It would be nice if there was more choice in colors like some neutral colors--beige or an even lighter gray--or softer muted colors. I returned the clematis blue because it was too bright for me. The sleeves in the extra small are a little short.

Bought for gf as she needed a new fleece for the winter. This was such a great deal from a company that I know I can always depend on . The fleece has been great, fits great and she loves it. She tells everyone how happy she is that she doesn't have to wear the one she's had since high school anymore. Only complaint which could have been resolved with a little more research was that this fleece is slightly thin. No complaints from the gf as she has other coats so it's not like it's a con, but she loves it and that's what counts!

The flattering cut and good quality sold me on Columbia but the women's XL available in stores locally was just a little too tight, so I chose the Women's 1X and am VERY happy. I'm a 16-18 but need a larger top so the tailored cut is important not to look sloppy.

The grey is a perfect color for work with slacks or play with jeans. Classy but neutral.

I would definately reccomend this product. All seams and zippers are of great quality and the color is true to the online photos.

Grey color was a little darker than the picture but I was expecting that from the other comments. Make sure to look at the sizing chart because I had to go a size larger than I normally would have. Comfortable and soft, but lighter weight fleece than I was expecting... Nice but needs layers underneath to stay warm. The one thing I don't like about it is that it does not have the zipper cover, or whatever it's called, to keep the cold zipper from touching your chin when it's pulled all the way up.

I have worn this on any cool night since I received it. I have washed it once and it feels just as soft. Baby squirrels apparently find it comfortable and warm too: I happened to be wearing it when my dog scared one onto me and it ran underneath my fleece and clung to my shoulder. He also did not mind being wrapped up in it until I found a towel for him. I washed it immediately after I got him out of it and find it no different then when I bought it.

The jacket arrived promptly and in great shape. I wear this almost everyday in winter. I live in an old house divided into apartments and there's no insulation so Columbia fleece is my insulation. It's keeps me warm no matter how cold it gets, inside. It works just as well outside, too. I have no complaints about it, it's just a great jacket. I bought this one to replace my old Columbia fleece jacket that I wore until it was no longer usable. I wouldn't buy any other fleece but a Columbia.

I use it on cool autumn days. I also use it under my shooting vest for skeet. Very warm and comfortable - fits perfectly under clothing for a comfortable, yet classy look. I read the comments before purchasing the sweater (namely that it was a bit snug) but I do not agree - I think that it is a TRUE fit. The wrists and waist have a nice elastic to keep the cool wind out and it zips all the way up to keep your neck warm. Doesn't get any better.

I purchased 2 of these jackets for my daughters. The navy blue my older daughter loves. She wore it right away and she loves how it fits. She's very outdoorsy and can't wait to wear it on her hiking, and camping trips. My younger daughter I purchased the Midnight Blue and she likes it, but she told me the cuffs on the wrist were a little tight, and the jacket around was sort of boxy. I don't know if they made that color slightly different. The delivery was very quick!
