Love it!
I looked at many different hats at many different outdoor stores and websites before I purchased this one. I wanted something lightweight to wear camping and hiking to keep the sun off my neck and face and to protect against ticks. I have trouble wearing hats due to migraines, but I was able to wear this hat all weekend at our last Cub Scout campout without any issues. It was well ventilated so I didn't get too hot wearing it, and my neck and face were well protected from the sun. I couldn't be more pleased.
Good hat for the money
I intended to use this hat for sailing, but I have worn it often for other outdoor activities. I like the lightweight fabric and the adjustable chin strap, but as noted above, the brim is rather thick and heavy, especially in contrast to the very lightweight material of the crown. I also like the adjustable headband. I originally ordered this hat in the pale green color, but when I got it, I didn't care for it and reordered in the khaki, which is a more neutral color for me.
Nice hat
I wanted a sun hat with a chin strap as I plan on using this while sailing and did not want to run the risk of losing the hat. I have not yet worn it sailing, just tried it on but it was comfortable and since it is adjustable it will fit a huge variety of head sizes. Like the light color since the Florida sun get super hot and it looks to be fine for water use.
versitile hat
I have a hat like this in Khaki and I love it! It's perfect for traveling because it folds up easily. It really keeps the sun off your face. This purchase was for my mother, who can't take much sun. My complaint is that the "wind" color appeared to be a lovely blue on line, but when it came, the hat is green. Please correct the photo on line.
Light as a Breeze
I use this hat for sun protection while hiking. It is light, breathable, very comfortable. I'm happy that it adjusts to fit my small head. The only problem is the tendency for the brim to flip up in a heavy head wind. The chin strap keep the hat in place under windy conditions, but the brim flips up and exposes your face to the sun.
This hat that I purchased was everything I needed -- it worked great. I would definitely recommend this product. I was working in extreme heat near the equator and this hat protected my face and neck. Also the experience with ordering from Zappos was excellent. I'm sure I will purchase from them in the near future.
Love the color of this hat! Nice lightweight, well shaped for a woman's head (on the smaller size of a one-size-fits-all). If you have a large head, this is likely not the hat for you. It's sporty and should stay on even in windy, athletic conditions with its elastic head band adjustment and chin strap.
Functional hat
This is a great hat for travel as it folds well and still holds its shape. The hat has an adjustment at the top so it fits around the head well. I used this on a trekking trip and it was very functional and light weight.
Columbia Sun Goddess Booney Hat
I ordered it on the spur of the moment for a hiking trip and it worked out well, easy to fold up and store, easy to wear to provide shade. Funny color (light blue) but kinda neat and different from any others I saw.
Nice hat. Does what it is supposed to. Not to tight and I did not sweat much wearing it. I bought it to wear kayaking. It also matches my kayak nicely. I did have to use he chin strap do to the wind.

Not cool-headed
Wore this hat on an excursion to Egypt in Oct. Very hot humid weather. Although this hat provided excellent shading from the sun, it was extremely sweat-inducing. Some provision for ventilation for the non-breathable fabric would have helped.
