My son is 8 and average in height, tho slim. I ordered a size S (8) and the fit is perfect--just roomy enough and a bit of room to grow in the sleeve length (tho not long enough to roll once). This seems to be an incredibly warm jacket---my son has already worn it comfortably on a 40 degree day. He loves how soft and cozy it is. The price for this jacket is an incredible value...I can see this being our go-to jacket for the next few years as he grows into larger sizes.
Picked this up for my 10 year old son. He's about average size for his age and MED fits well. Might even be able to use it next year. I'm sure it will hold up. It's tough but soft and comfortable for him. He really likes it. Thought it would look nice for church but he's also wearing it for cold nights of flag football practice. It's holding up well. Very happy with this purchase. Can't beat the value. Would've expected it to be priced much higher.
