I bought the burnt henna/nuclear multi gingham. The color was exactly what I was expecting from the pictures. The fit is more problematic. It sits loosely enough to be comfortable but unfortunately every stray breeze tries to carry it away, and since the fabric is so light it usually does shift before I can catch it. A high maintenance hat! (For reference, I don't know my actual hat size but I buy all my crash helmets in medium. So, normal sized head an all that.)
This is a great throw it on kind of hat. I like that it's wide enough to cover the sides of my face with shade, but it's not so big that it's a floppy hat. If it's breezy the hat tends to move or fly away. A strap would be a great addition. Another nice perk is I can roll the hat up and stick it in my purse. This doesn't seem to mess the hat up at all.
I bought this hat before an ocean beach trip and I wore it every day! It was a perfect sun-blocker, it was breathable and comfy, and I thought it fit my head very well. It didn't matter if I had my hair up or down - I was never afraid that it would fly off my head from the wind. I like the brim because it's wider than any other bucket hat I've owned. I love this hat!
This hat is perfect to keep the summer sun off my face. I previously bought a Columbia hat and it seemed too small for my head and it didn't come down far enough. I was worried to get another Columbia hat out of fear for the same problem, but this bucket hat fits great. I like the fabric, too.
Negative Reviews:
Although it's a perfect hat for travel (lightweight, collapsible), I didn't find it flattering. The folds remain in the hat when it's worn so it looks frumpy.
