Take the slopes by storm this winter with the Columbia Women's Veloca Point Jacket. This gem  shields you from the elements and provides warmth while maintaining feminine style. As part of the Alpine collection, this body-conscious jacket lets you get big air, from jumps or the chopper.

Lady-like lines don't stop this active-fitting jacket from big-mountain adventures. OmniShield fabric gives you waterproof and breathable protection from rotor-whipped snow or blasting winds atop a barren summit. Fully taped seams plus waterproof zippers eliminate all entry routes for errant moisture, ensuring you withstand the storm dry and warm. Breaking trail, digging snow caves, or building ice-protected forts in the front yard all raise your body temperature beyond what's comfortable. While this fabric breathes like your yogi, out with the hot air and in with cool air, you can also quickly dump excess body heat by unzipping the underarm vents.

Whether you're backcountry touring or hucking off the half-pipe, too much insulation impedes your snow-slipping style. This low-profile honey is filled with lightweight OmniHeat insulation and utilizes reflective microtex lining to exploit your own body heat. Like a mirror reflects an image, OmniHeat thermal reflective lining reflects your body heat, so warm air isn't wasted and goes toward giving you a little something extra when temps plunge. Bennies include a removable storm hood, snap-back powder skirt, and wrist-saving thumb holes. The shirttail hem emphasizes your shape without adversely affecting jacket function, so no one should be calling you "bro."

Columbia Sportswear Veloca Point Jacket Review:

More than just a ski jacket!

I bought this in-store when they were have a sale on the whole store and I'm so glad I did. I wanted a jacket to wear both out on the ski slopes and doing outdoor activities. I've ended up switching my regular coat and wearing this on my commute to work - in the rain, snow, wind, and simply freezing weather - I have stayed dry and comfortable! The fabric is unexpectedly soft, not like rough polyester jackets of the past. I gave it 4 stars not 5 because dirt easily gets on it and when it does it just looks bad, but it comes out easily enough with soap and water.
