Copper John Copper Red And Green - Per 3 -
The Copper John nymph carries a classic mayfly/stonefly profile. A sleek abdomen reflects light creating the illusion of movement as well as adds weight to the nymph, helping it sink for deeper water. This pattern is great in any river where there are large populations of mayflies and stoneflies. Per 3.
Sizes: 12, 14, 16, 18.
Colors:(005)Red, (009)Green, (075)Copper.

Blue gill seem to love these copper johns.

Most of my fishing is warm water in Texas and I enjoy wading small ponds casting these copper johns in size 12 in 1 to 3 feet of water. Probably could easily get by with size 14 or 16 but my eyes are such that I can more easily tie my tippet on the larger ones. My only complaint is that sometimes the hook eye is has glue so I have to perforate it so as to run the line through. Sometimes inconvenient when I am in a hurry to retie one on.

Excellent Fly for Spring Fishing

One of my favorite flies to use during early spring. Used this fly a couple of times already this year with a strike indicator letting the fly float along the bottom of the river. Caught a few cuts and browns. It has always been a very dependable fly for me. The fly stayed together well even after catching several fish.

Copper John

I ordered these to fish on the Madision River in Montana at the end of this September. Don't know how they work yet, but they look well tied.
