WF1F line

This is a great line for tight shots under cover with the smallest of flies, I use my 1wt in WV throwing #22 tricos at baby rainbows, or #18 BWO in Northern NY for brooks, and when I'm not away I use it for gills on still water in Southern Mi.

Shoots fast

This line sails through the guides for extra shooting distance, it has a minimal splash upon water landing and has a nearly invisible profile. I love it, and you will too!

Negative Reviews:

Not so great

I purchased this line for a trip to New Zealand, mostly for the neutral color (which was great), but also because I have been happy with Cortland lines in the past. I didn't have a chance to cast this line before I left, which was a mistake. Using a TFO 6wt rod, this line cast like a steel chain. Very heavy line (albeit sturdy), poor loop control, the tip sank immediately, and it simply would not shoot well. I was very disappointed. I used the guide's rod with a Rio Gold line on it and it cast remarkably better. After I returned home, I tried the Cortland line on a different rod - same probs. I then exchanged through Cabela's for a Rio Gold line and it casted terrifically. Cortland will need to step up their game if they want to keep this line competitive in this price range.
