Not recommended

Pressure pad worked about 10 times & quit working. Odd looking pad to begin with I've never seen one quite like this. Laser workes well if you want to use the rear click cap but not an option for my set-up.

Good laser, poor quality paddle switch

So far the laser seems to function as advertised. However, as another reviewer noted, the paddle switch* was DOA out of the package. I carefully peeled apart the rubber switch cover from the pass-through grommet and determined that one of the two leads from the cable was broken at the small circuit board which contains two miniature momentary switches. It was fairly easy to re-strip the wires (I did both as I did not trust the other connection either), and solder them back to the board. I added a little blob of silicone at the cable end of the board to help strain relieve the cable. I suspect the assembler(s) nicked the conductors of the wire when prepping them for attachment and the switch assembly went together broken from day 1. I still have to glue the rubber cover back to the rubber grommet through which the cable passes and all will be ready to go. I have included this information in case any readers want to fix their switch as well rather than return the whole thing to Cabelas. *The switch also does not appear as shown in picture included in the description. It has much less cable reinforcement than shown. In addition, no adhesive is provided to stick the paddle switch to a hand grip.

Better Choices Out There

Just like everyone else, the pressure pad failed the first time I took it hunting. I can use the push button on/off switch, but the pressure pad would meet my needs better. Sighting in was hit or miss. It took alot longer to sight in than I anticipated. I would prefer vert/horizonal adjustments that had a click or positive feel like a rifle scope. Turning the hex wrench is just a guess if you went too far or not.
Bottom line, you can make it work, but why not just spend a little more $ from the get go and avoid the headache.
