Wow! Crossman Nitro Venom Dusk, break barrel design, .177cal. Quality, First thing I Felt & Thought when I picked it up. It Felt Solid & after Shooting It, It Is A Rock Solid Air Rifle All The Way.
Sighting in, took 5 minutes. Almost dead on from the start. Scope is a Center Point 3-9x40, which sits on a picitanny rail, which is Great. Scope Stays on Securely, without any sliding/movement. Which makes shooting this air rifle ez, and along with the Rifled Barrel, Dead On Accuracy! Shooting Master Point 7.56gr Gamo pellets.
Now adding onto the Accuracy, the Trigger, I was Surprised to find it So Smooth, Short & Crisp. Making it Super Ez to stay on Target without quirks. Also it has really Nice Grooves for Hand Placement, which makes holding it, nice & secure in different temperatures. The Shape is Also Very Sleek in Appearance, Something I Know Which Is Subjective, But I Like It.
Some other things that might be of value or not. First Shot, Wow! Was it Loud, but after the first 25 shots, it quieted down to most gas operated air rifles. The Break Barrel was a little stiff to start out as well, seeming to have a little heavier pull than most break barrels, and you have to give the end of the barrel a little tap, before you pull the barrel down. The Price Is Great, U Get A Quality Air Rifle, One I Trust To Take Into The Field /Hunting. Well under the price of most high powered air rifles, Yet performs just as Good, If Not Better. You Simply Can't Go Wrong With This Crossman Rifle. Very Happy I Am With It.
Accurate and quiet
The Nitro Dsk is a little heavier than you might expect but it is very powerful and quite accrate so you are not going to notice the weight most of the time. The Nitro power system (basically a gas spring) has basically no recoil so the disturbing forward shifting of a spring air rifle is elminated as is the rattle and vibration in the stock. The rifle is not as quiet as a subsonic air rifle of course but that is the price you pay for the power. It is considerably quieter than a spring air that I have without the 'buffer' on the front so the rifle does eliminate some of the loud 'bark' of a supersonic air rifle too.
