Problem: I need a shoe to wear around the house when I normally would be barefoot or in socks, but I can't be, because I require good arch support. I want them as light as possible, and they must be easy to get on and off, but because I am nimble and move around quickly, they must be secure on my feet. Crocs failed horribly on this last point. Solution: Finally, I found the Cushe M Slipper! They slip on and off, weigh only 150 grams (about 5 oz.) and yet my foot feels snug and very well-supported. The soles have some gentle lugs for grip, but are made of a soft material, so they're easy on carpets and steps, and the feel is perfect in tight maneuvers. They have a roomy toe and a slightly negative heel, which I have always liked in a shoe since my beloved Earth Shoes. Finally, although I bought them as house shoes, I know that with khakis and a polo shirt, I could wear them out to a nice restaurant if I wanted to. Great shoe!

I purchased these in the spring as something to wear with shorts instead of sandals. I normally wear a size 11 but the size 11 was a little bit too big. I bought the size 10 but they were too small so I kept the size 11. Despite being a little big (I have a narrow foot too which doesn't help), they are extremely comfortable and look great. They get a little hot if you're going for a long walk with no socks, but the feel and look great. I'm very happy with them so far. I think they'll end up looking and feeling even better once they've been broken in a little bit. Wish they came in half sizes though.

Loved the shoe but had to exchange

I really liked this shoe initially. I bought them without trying them on. Got my normal shoe size of 13 and figured it would all be good. Unfortunately they were uncomfortable when i got them on. The shoe is very narrow, however I have a wider than average foot so they would probably be fine for a normal foot. I hoped they had a larger size or wider version but unfortunately they do not. I wore them for over a week hoping they would break in and get comfortable but they didn't. Exchanged for some Merrell Bare Access 2 Running Shoes and these fit great for my big foot!

Great Find

I initially went to REI to find a shoe similar to Tom's or Sanuk, and came across these. I am a woman, a tomboy, and usually find myself in the men's dept and this time... I am so glad I did. These shoes are incredibly lightweight, to the point of feeling like you have no shoes on. They are casual without looking sloppy and breathe well. I do a lot of walking and my feet have not hurt yet, so for me, they are comfortable and durable. Definitely will purchase more soon.

I dig these shoes

These are great for those of us who hate flip flops. Comfortable and breathe well, which is important in TX heat. I picked a half size smaller than my norm and they fit well. I'd like a bit more arch support for long days in them, but overall very pleased. And they don't look like ballet slippers like Toms.

Most comfortable shoe EVER!!!

Own a pair of the Sanbok shoes (which are very comfortable) and found they did not have enough sole/cushion support. The REI person recommended Cushe as they are the same company. I HATE socks and laces, so these seem to be right up my alley. AWESOME!! I wear them all the time and they are holding up well!!

The most comfortable shoes I own

The soles aren't flat, so that takes a little getting used to (or wearing down). I originally bought these as camp shoes, but after I got used to them, they've easily become my go-to shoe. Lightweight, supportive, cushy, the heel even folds down easily to be used as sandals.

Great comfortable shoe

Had a pair of Sanuk's a while back that I really liked and finally wore out. Was going to buy another pair and a friend recommended these. These have the same functionality, but fit better and have a nicer sole.

Super comfy and light. Love these shoes. If they are slightly big when you get them, mist them with water and then put them in the dryer. They will shrink up perfectly.

Very comfortable footwear

I really like the casual appearance and fit of these shoes. They also have a more significant sole for protection and durability.

Negative Reviews:

Only lower Cushe no Upper

At first glance these shoes look awesome and from what others have said extremely comfortable. So I decided to purchase these and another "Cushe" style shoe. When I got them they weren't that easy to put on and a little stiff but it takes time to break in a pair of shoes. I think after wearing them a while that unless you have some socks with some good upper cushion these shoes might feel a little rough and not "cushy". Yes they have good lower support under the foot, but above is lacking. If that added some softer padding under the tongue or upper they would be Awesome! FYI.

First off, the sizing. I have no idea how all those sizes are determined by any brands any more. Size 10 and it's just wide and long enough for my 9.5, wide size. But, they are exact in centimeter measurement. What is that? Looks so neat photo-wise, and they are comfy, but style over substance just doesn't work for me. They are slippers and they are slippery--even on carpet. Wet kitchen floor? Forget it. This time, they were way off the mark for me. Sorry, I have to return. But, I'm still Zappos' customer!

Neutral Reviews:

High style- short lived.

I bought a pair of these when they first came out, and loved them (initially). The good things going for them are that they look great, fit well, and are like going barefoot in terms of not having bulk or weight. They're also incredibly breathable. The downside is that they deteriorate quickly - especially the sole. The compound is very soft and not meant for abuse. These shoes are ideally suited to light walks at the beach and boardwalk, and maybe a pick-up game of volleyball in the sand. Case in point- I raced my daughter down the driveway one day, and the front half of one shoe delaminated; the sole ripped clean from the upper. I re-glued it, but it was the first of many disappointments. The soles start to fall apart after a few months; little chunks begin to crumble off, and every sharp object you might step on (like rocks and such) will leave a cut in the sole. Later, that cut leads to another chuck falling off until you have a pair of shoes that appear as though your dog loved the taste. In fairness, I wore these a LOT because I loved the way they felt on my feet, so I might have worn them out quicker than a typical guy. I also wore them on asphalt, concrete, trails- everywhere. I would have given these shoes a lower rating if not for the fact I loved every minute of wearing them. Despite falling apart after a few months, I still think these shoes deserve a 3 star rating because if your intent is to wear them in the sand most of the time- you'll be rewarded with an excellent shoe. I might buy another pair and use them exclusively for trips to the beach. Just don't expect them to last long in the concrete jungle. Remember: these are called the "SURF" slipper.... ..I should have read the big print. D'oh!
