CW-X Conditioning Pro Shorts

The Conditioning Pro Shorts was a hard purchase at first but then having run with them for over a month now I am looking to purchase another pair or cycling. You won’t go wrong with these. Muscle fatigue for me was greatly reduced. I have seen an increase in my time over the 10-16 mile range. My next purchase will be the cycling shorts which are a lot more expensive. If I have to say one thing I don’t like it would be the drawstring which is a little long. Other than that these shorts are the ultimate in running attire. Would have given a perfect 5 stars but the drawstring issue.

Amazing product

My CW-X Pro Shorts helped perform amazingly during the Las Vegas ½ Marathon on December 10th.  I cruised to a new PR of 1:59:55 and that was running into a pretty nasty head wind for the last 6 miles.  I was able to reach my goal and break the 2 hour mark for the 1st time!

I have a 21 mile training run to do on Saturday and you can bet I will be wearing my CW-X Pro Shorts for that also.  I will definitely be sharing my story with the entire running group of West Coast Road Runners.

Thank you CW-X for such a great product.

No More Jelley Legs

This is my second pair. I love them. I run between 70-90 miles per week and after some hard days my legs feel like jelley. Using the pro shorts I have found that my legs feel more supported and I have more energy. I have used them in races as well as hard workouts. Again they really help to support and reduce fatigue. Highly recommend them.

Expensive, but great product

I am a long distance runner who ordered the product when I was trying to overcome a reoccuring sore hamstring. I was looking for a product that provided support and additional warmth to get me through the remainder of the winter. The leg grippers are a little snug for me. I have worn the Pro Short in a Half Marathon and was pleased with the result.

Great Product, Great Value

The tights are fantastic. As a long distance runner I have been using the CWX tights for running over the past few months and have noticed a great improvement in recovery following my longer runs. They are comfortable in cold to mild temperatures. I cannot honestly say I have tried them in warm weather as of this time but plan to do so.

Excellent running shorts

I will use these mostly for long runs in the 40 to 50 degree range. I have a pair of the CW-X compressions pants for temperatures under 40 degrees. I am not sure if I will use in competition, but we will see after I use them a few times. Excellent material. This is my 3 pair of shorts/pants made by CW-X.

Pros and Cons

While the product does offer a good snug fit and has reduced some of the problems with rashes often associated with standard running shorts, the center seam and seams along the front hip area are large and can cause some severe rashes and skin abrasions. Still not the silver bullet for summer running comfort, but better than most.

Excellent Shorts

I use these shorts for all of my longer runs and they are great. I had never used compression type shorts before, but now I am sold on them.

They are very comfortable and provide great support for hamstrings, quads and IT bands. They really keep my legs fresh and not fatigued.

Great work out shorts

I own a number of CW-X items and bought these for summer wear and a vacation in Cancun. They provide support, don't snag on the gym equipment like floppy clothing does, and feel good while I work out. I wear them with a CW-X top for upper body muscle support.

just when you think things can't get any

hey I bought 4 pair what else is there to say.
I u wear them under my work clothes and still have energy at the end of they day, I take off the uniform and run home in them.
I wash them often, little or no detergent.

Negative Reviews:

Not as good as the full-leg tights

I was turned on to the CW-X tights by my Sports Med Physician to help alleviate pain caused by a torn adductor. Once it began to warm up I tried switching to these shorts. For me, they are not nearly supportive enough. I can run pain-free with the full-length tights, but with the shorts I can feel the pain creeping back. I recommend the full-length tights, much more supportive and even in the heat, they aren't overly warm (how much do your calves sweat anyway...)

no miracle

I have not had the results I was hoping for with these shorts. I think I've had more IT band irritation when wearing them. I've done several long (15+ miles) and many shorter runs with them and I'm not convinced they are helping me. They are comfortable and I'll continue to try them in my training.

The drawstring cords frayed severely after the very first washing. It was a pretty sad and disappointing sight for an otherwise good but very expensive product.
