Positive Reviews:

Good pack- missing a key feature though

Rating:****

There are a lot of things I like about this pack... and only one thing I don't.

I like the 100 ounce bladder capacity, ample storage area and pockets, molded back panel, high waist strap and good build quality.

What this pack is missing is a good pocket for tools storage. Sure it has a pump slot, and a large internal pocket that's great for things like spare tubes and maybe a first aid kit. But there is no pocket for tools, like an allen key and chain tool. I don't want to drop them into the bottom of the pack, and don't want them in the external zip pouch since its too large and potentially can be torn by tools since its mesh. So I am putting them in the MP3 player pouch on the inside of the pack... which is fine, but its not very big and doesn't seal completely. It would have been better if there was one additional internal pocket specifically for smaller metal tools.

Other than that, one of the better packs I've owned.

Light for DaKine, But Needs Some Refinement

Rating:***

This pack is built from lighter weight materials than the typical DaKine pack, so that's a good thing. I dig all the typical organization pockets and sleeves commonly found on all DaKine packs, but the back panel is a poor attempt at copying better designs. Not the best, but not the worst.
