| I love that the outside of this bag looks very plain, nondescript, and unassuming; especially because the inside of it contains some smartly placed pockets and compartments (some zippered, some not, some mesh, some padded). It's just the right size for carrying my work laptop to and from the office; and it's also great for casual everyday and week-end usage for toting around my writing and art supplies (I'm a creative professional, so I always need to have a sketchbook or notebook, as well as various writing instruments, such as pens, coloured pencils, and markers). There are some handy compartments for my digital camera and digital voice recorder, and even an intelligently placed small side pocket to hold my mobile phone. The best part about this bag is that I don't feel like I'm carrying a murse -- because it's a military green colour, it feels more like I'm carrying around the gear and tools of my trade. When my (male) buddies first saw it, I thought I may get razzed about having a new murse; instead, they were actually impressed and wanted to know where they could get one, too. | |

| The Dakine District 09 is great for the daily commuter and air traveler. Hangs nicely over the shoulder, easy access, well divided compartments. Laptop padding is ample enough to feel secure with both a laptop and an external drive. Air, sea, or land. Raining climate or dry. An all around solid bag. Be careful if you are looking for a bag that can get you through a day on campus or traveling heavy on business. Not the bulk bag solution. I can get a few mags, 2 bulky library books, laptop, cell, digi-cam, and all those nasty cables comfortably. Not the bag if you dress in layers and need to stuff those extra layers as the day warms up or if you plan to throw an extra tee or hoodie. Love the vertical shape over the horizontal messenger style. Doesn't look like a man purse but would be nice to have in different color ways and fabrics than the black offering. | |

| this is one handsome bag! although it's main purpose is a laptop bag, i actually use it to house all my other goodies (ipod, cellphone, wallet, etc.). it's a good muti-purpose bag to run all over the place with, WITHOUT looking like you're carrying a "murse" around!! VERY masculine!! | |
