Dakine BC Vest -
How smart is this BC vest from Dakine? Designed for efficiency in any snow related sport, this multi zip vest has a place for everything. There are carry systems for your snowboard or skis. Pockets for your climbing skins, snow tools and smartphone. The Dakine BC vest is even equipped for a hydration packet, sold separately. And once you have loaded everything on, side compression straps help hold it close to the body, giving you extra stability, warmth and range of motion. This ski and snowboard vest is the perfect solution for anyone looking to ditch the bulky backpack and make the day more enjoyable.

  • Durable, lightweight 630D nylon and 1260D ballistic nylon withstand rugged wear and tear for long-term reliability and protection

  • Hydration compatibility lets you carry your reservoir in convenient security
  • Hydration sleeve accommodates a reservoir (sold separately)

Weather and Wind:

  • Organizer, radio, snow tool and shovel exterior pockets hold your backcountry essentials
  • Pockets for a shovel, snow tools and climbing skins keep your gear within easy reach

  • Side compression straps keep the load tidy and stable while hiking or bombing downhill
  • Carry a snowboard vertically with two straps on the back, or attach your skis with the retractable cables

  • Organizer pocket makes it easy to find small items; radio pocket secures two-way or avalanche beacon
  • Two interior climbing skin pockets secure these close at hand for convenience and less glue-freeze

  • Vertical snowboard and retractable cable ski carriers let you attach board(s) on back for more stable, hands-free hiking

You've seen them by now, the pros and patrollers with their slick vest packs. Stop drooling all over things that don't belong to you and get your own Dakine BC Vest Pack. A handy pack you wear as a vest always fits and feels comfortable as the load is distributed over the front, back, and sides. Multiple exterior pockets hold your radio, probe, shovel, and other tools, and interior skins pockets help keep your glue supple and sticky. You can even attach your board or skis to the back when the terrain is a little too sketchy to shoulder them. No more back-heavy, bouncing backpacks on light, fast trips―and no more vest-envy.

Going on a backcountry adventure? Want to stay safe without the added weight of a pack? The DaKine BC Vest is just the thing for you! This vest will carry shovel, probe and skins while keeping the weight down, and the stoke way up. Shred on!

Slip the DAKINE BC vest over your jacket and stay as light as the powder you're chasing. It's about the most minimal way possible to comfortably haul your board or skis and backcountry gear off-piste.

Dakine BC Vest Review:

I took this vest to AK last year for a two week trip and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I am not one to bring a bunch of additional gear on my tours so the vest was simple and easy for my needs. Carried my skins, water bottle, three part poles, probe and shovel easily. The fit is a bit small though. I am 5'9", average body build and the L/XL was pretty snug on me. If you are a little bigger you will definitely need the XXL version which will be in stock at the end of October.
