Dakine Quest Backpack -
the Dakine Quest 28L backpack is great for both everyday use and trips up to the mountain. Perfect for snowboarders and skaters, the Quest 28L has two vertical board carrying straps. With that, never worry about getting you camera gear wet as the Quest 28L has waterproof zippers and a protective rain cover. Ergonomically, the Quest 28L will fit like a glove as it provides you with a pre-curved waist belt and cushioned back support.

  • Constructed from 600-denier polyester and 420-denier nylon mini ripstop fabric for light weight, durability and water resistance

Lining and Layers:

  • Top pocket lets you stash extra gear such as snacks and clothing layers; front zip pocket has individual sleeves that stash small items such as phone and pens

  • Lens compartments are customizable to fit odd-sized gear
  • Padded interior sleeve fits most 15 in. laptops when off the slopes
  • DAKINE Quest Photo pack features padded shoulder straps and a precurved hipbelt for a comfortable, adjustable fit

  • Customizable photo compartment features a removable padded camera block that accommodates multiple lenses; offers side and front entry to camera gear
  • The pre-curved internal framesheet keeps the padded back panel comfortable and Padded camera block allows for safe transport of your camera and expensive lenses; easily removable to use that pack as a standard gear hauler

Weather and Wind:

  • Waterproof zippers on lower photo pockets
  • Readily deployable raincover keeps your gear protected from sudden rain and snow showers
  • Top load allows for easy packing at home and back-access means you can reach whatever you need without empty the contents of your bag into the snow

  • Vertical straps let you carry your snowboard in a stable, secure manner on your trek to the top
  • External straps can be quickly deployed to carry a tripod for steady shots in the backcountry
  • Load compression straps help keep the weight manageable

  • Separate top compartment keeps your smelly socks separate from your camera lenses
  • Tripod carry system helps you carry your stationary gear
Don't let your pride and joy and all of its crazy expensive lenses get tossed around in a sub-par bag. The DaKine Quest Photo Backpack features a fully padded, customizable photo compartment with front and side access that will fit all of the necessary gear to get that shot of the day. A padded laptop sleeve is on hand so you can edit and upload on the fly, while a deployable rain cover keeps it all dry. In short, this pack will be a worthy ally on any proper Quest.

Whether photography is a hobby or your livelihood, the Quest's dedicated storage compartments keep your SLR, lenses, and laptop protected and secure so you can focus on scoping angles (and convincing the talent to take one more crack at that triple-kink rail).

Dakine Quest Backpack Review:

Protects & holds canon equip well (camera body w/24-70 zoom & hood in place, 70-200 f/2.8 II, extender or 3rd lens & misc pieces). Room in top for jacket & food, laptop, water btl. Tripod fits nice (full size Manfrotto). I carried 40lbs. Cons- waist support belt rides too high. I tucked it under my pants belt for comfort. Shoulder straps are well padded. Why no D-rings? Less bulky vs. Kata or Lowepro camera only bags.
