Dakine Split 100L Rolling Gear Bag Reviews:

Reviews:

I just got back from a 2-week overseas trip with this bag.
Pros: The bottom is hard, which will protect anything you don't want super squished. The top is soft, which will allow flexibility in packing. It's separated into compartments - one big one on the bottom and 3 smaller ones in the lid (plus the two external pockets in the lid). There are 4 handles not including the telescoping handle to roll the bag. This made it really easy to pick up and walk down flights of stairs where there weren't elevators and to pick up and throw it up in a train. There are 2 straps with quick release buckles that let you tighten down the load.
Cons: If the bag isn't full, the soft top is floppy which makes it difficult to tighten down the straps enough to secure the load. If the internal compartments aren't full the stuff shifts around because there aren't any straps inside to hold stuff, only the mesh compartment lids that zip.
Overall: I would definitely recommend this bag! I have 3 Dakine bags now, and they are all top quality material and construction. The awesome colors and patterns are a huge bonus and being able to buy last year's at a nice discount is icing on the cake!

Easy to handle. It is so big I had 7 kilos extra weight, but that was because I also bought some heavy things. BUt you can fit a lot of things in this suitcase. One of the comments I had read in the reviews was that if pockets side is not full they will be very lose, but I thought this was great for making my packing easy. Probably looks prettier loaded than empty. I did not mind it. Seems to be going to be a sturdy one. So I am happy with the purchase. I think I should have gone for a bit smaller one, though. Other than that, no regrets.

I purchased this bag right before leaving for Africa. I went on many planes, trains, cars and it held up well.
The compartments inside were very nice to have, especially when I didn't have any laundry service!
Love the design and the look of the bag.
My one negative thought was when I was wheeling it around I noticed it was heavy on my arm. It is more vertical than what I am used to, so the weight distribution was different.

This bag was a gret investment. Very well made. Huge compartments. The bottom and top 3 compartments, exposed once you un-zip the bag, are really big and i was able to fit enough clothes for the entire fall semester within them. Smart extras, like clips and tons of handles. I did about 2 months of research and i know for sure that Backcounty.com has the best price out there!! Best bag ever!

We gave this split large roller bag to our teenage daughter as a gift and she LOVES it. We just need to make sure it doesn't weigh over 50 lbs to avoid the excess luggage charge with the airlines. The bag is nice and duarable! The extra pink on the bag helps it stand out from the rest of the black luggage at the airport!!

I'm a huge fan of dakine luggage, but this bag is awesome! It's huge and the color is very cool, it's more purple than it shows in the picture. I'm leaving for a month and can fit everything in here!
