If face-melting speeds, sphincter-clenching cliff drops, and massive straightlines are in your future, count on the Dalbello Men's Krypton KR 2 Pro I.D. Ski Boot to join you for the ride. Designed to optimize performance on ultra-wide and rockered skis, the KR 2 Pro feature a 130 flex index and anatomically precise 98mm last that provide expert-level performance and sensitivity. This stiff and powerful boot gives pros and die-hard skiers the tools to rip the mountain from top to bottom.
The KR 2 Pro uses an innovative Cabrio design architecture that combines a boot shell/boot cuff assembly with an external Kinetic Response shell tongue closure. As a result, this design provides rigid lateral support for dynamic power-to-ski energy transfer with a comfortable, smooth flex, superior shock absorption, and a super-convenient way to put on and take off the KR 2 Pro. Dalbello's Contour 4 shell fit technology features relief contours molded into the inside lower shell at the ankle, heel, 5th metatarsal, and navicular points to provide a close and accurate fit and minimize the need for shell modifications.
To provide a strong foothold and rearfoot stability when you charge big lines, the KR 2 Pro features Dynalink Rearfoot Retention that uses an independently functioning heel/instep closure assembly to effectively minimize foot sliding, heel lift, and boot shell distortion when you flex the boot. With today's modern rockered skis and lateral skiing technique you need a much more upright and neutral (flatter) stance, so Dalbello incorporated its Center Balanced Stance technology into the KR 2 Pro to center your body mass over the sweet spot of your skis for more power and control with less effort.
The renowned Intuition I.D. Thermo Pro liner supplies a 100% custom fit designed to eliminate relative movement between the liner and shell for improved response, accurate and powerful energy transfer to the ski, and better control. The Pro uses a no-tongue overlapping design that's able to hold your foot and leg in a stronger and more balanced stance position.
The KR 2 Pro comes with two interchangeable tongues (stiff and medium) that allow you to adjust the flex of the boot while two interchangeable footboards (firm and anti-shock) adjust to your riding style. In addition, the KR 2 Pro has twin canting and an adjustable forward lean so you can really adjust the boot to your skiing style. For a secure, comfortable boot closure, the KR 2 Pro has three F500 aluminum micro-adjustable buckles and a power strap.

The top model in the KR Two series features all new fit lasts and stance angles engineered for aggressive and accomplished expert big mountain freeride skiers seeking a close and precise fit . If you want a stiff, narrower lasted boot, this is the one for you.
It's by far the best boot I've ever skied in. The three piece system in the boot gives it a natural feeling flex. Even with a stiff 130 flex rating, it doesn't feel like your ramming your shin against a wall. It certainly excels in big mountain shredding, but even in the park, I love this boot.
The liner makes it. The Intuition I.D. Thermo Pro is the best liner out there. The entire liner is heat moldable to fit your foot exactly. It will make it fit like a whole new boot. (I thought the boot was pretty uncomfortable before I molded the liner)
If you are going to buy this boots, you should definitely mold the liner. I would also highly recommend going to a ski shop to get this done. It can be easy to screw up if you try to do it yourself.
I have a street shoe size 10.5, went with the 27.5 in this boot and it's perfect.
I bought the 2012 Krypton Pro ID, and it is the best thing that has ever happened to my feet. The snug fit combined with the ID liner, and race-like feel make it a great boot for chargers. The three piece cabrio design is super adjustable and feels like you have flex for days. If you're on the fence about getting a new pair of boots, jump to the other side!
