Kinetic side-zip boot
I'm disappointed with these boots having had a pair of Strikers before them. Traction is very good. There's too much cordura around the back of the ankle making them stiff and hard to break in. The arch support is questionable for me. The upper half of the lacing system is badly done, they are hard to adjust and they eat the laces. I've had these since November and already I need new laces. And you know Danner doesn't make weak laces... I should have bought a pair of Striker side-zips instead. When is Danner, or some other company, going to get smart and make a duty boot with speed hooks??? That is all I would buy!!

Poorly Made
When I laced up these Danner Side-Zip Kinetic Work Boots the second time I wore them (that's right, the second time), the seam at the top of the right boot on the right side (holding the shoelace eyes) separated like wet tissue paper when I zipped it up, revealing my sock and providing me with added ventilation. That said, they were very comfortable the first time I gently wore them for the few hours they stayed in one piece. I have owned many boots from many different manufacturers both American and "Imported" and never had anything like this happen. These boots are junk.
