Danner Zigzag Trail Hiking Boots Review:

Danner quality as expected

I've worn out four pairs of Danner Mountain Lights in the last 30 years and was looking for something more lightweight. This this is the best quality I've seen in a "modern" boot design; should have checked with Danner first. They do seem to run small; my wife and I both required a size bigger than our normal shoe size, however, these fit fine. Not yet used in any serious hiking, so I didn't give a "perfect" rating, but did some trekking looking at land and was pleased. Probably not for heavy loads (>35 lbs), but that's the point of going lighter in the first place. I've loved the Mountain Lights, but will not miss the weight.
