Hugely Comfortable | |

Having gone through plantar fasciitis - which sucks - foot wear took on a more important part of my life. These are the most comfortable shoes I own, and I don't even need to put in my Powerstep or other over the counter ortho-support. I will prob only by Dansko shoes for the foreseeable future. That said, there are two negative aspects to the shoes that knock them down a peg. First, they are hot - but I am hopeful that as whatever coating is on them slowly wears off that the leather will breath, as leather is want to do. Secondly, the exterior of the shoes marks up like crazy when you first get them - then the propensity of the shoe to get scuffed ends up being a benefit and they get that nice, comfy shoe look to them, with scuffs that overlap to the point that it is not noticeable that can still work with an oxford for work. Maybe the scuffs disappear as the coating wears off. The end point being that I would definitely buy these shoes again, wo hesitation.

| I got these as recommended by podiatrist for painful Plantar Fasciitis to provide better heal support. My feet got better, but heel discomfort remained until I did what I do with other shoes--add arch pads. I also have Hallux Rigidus and since these shoes feel tighter and narrower (esp. when laced firmly) that brings pain on top of the foot (the higher heel is not good for that either). Finally, I am prone to twisting my ankles and I have to be more careful in these shoes since they feel higher and narrower. I still like the shoes and have no regrets. They seem sturdy and very well made. They also address the main issues regarding Hallux Rigidus, as long as they are not laced tight. But I cannot say that I will toss out my New Balance or Keen shoes which do other things for me better. I would really like to try a Dansko with a wider profile and fewer lace eyelets. | |

| I bought these for my husband as a new style to try from Dansko, a brand he loves. He is an elementary school teacher and on his feet constantly. For a few years he's been wearing the professional clog but wanted a different look. As soon as he put these on he was raving about them! He has worn them to work literally every single day and even wearing them to go out on the weekends. I'm getting him another pair in brown. I wish Dansko would make more and more styles! A bonus for me is these have quite a good cushion on the sole and, being a couple inches taller than him, these shoes on his feet have us looking eye-to-eye. | |

| Worn hard and held up - I bought these for someone who works for me and always complains of his feet hurting. He is usually hard to fit and they were perfect. He immediately put them on and wore them all day. He wears his shoes hard and they look great still. They have enough protection for outside work and they look good with jeans on his day off. I was worried I bought them to big- I went up a size- but he likes that they are not too narrow at the ball of his feet. They look better on than the picture. Will buy more. | |

I've been working in the kitchen for about 14 years now, as a professional chef my shoes have to be comfortable and sharp looking. This shoes are AMAZING! I love them! I will recomend this shoes to anyone, I got two pairs, one for the kichen and the other to hang out, out side work.

| I bought these in anticipation of a long standing time at a trade show. I was so very pleasantly surprised. These were by far the most comfortable shows I have ever purchased. Normally after a trade show day my feet cramp and I can barely walk. While my muscles still felt sore, it was NOTHING like I had experienced before. It was great. I hope that more styles are soon carried. (I am looking for a sneaker type from Dansko). I had tried Cole Hann's and Rockports. Neither has ever just been as comfortable. | |

| Super! I wear Dansko clogs (Professional & Karl) in order to shorten my Achilles tendons because of heel spurs and calcification (Haglund's). I love them. If clogs are for people who stand along, the Carson is for people who walk a lot. Not quite as high a heel but still clog-like, but with plenty of support. I love them. Wish Dansko would make something similar in a dressier shoe. As with the Professional and the Karl, by measurement I should have been a 44 but I need a 45 in all of them. | |

| Excellent Shoe! If you have never worn Dansko's, these shoes, like some orthodics, need to be worn only a few hours a day for the first few days until your feet get used to them. However, once my feet adjusted to the arch support and different foot motion, I can honestly say that these shoes are the most comfortable shoes that I have worn. I have tried many shoes to help my foot pain and the Carson's have definitely helped. | |

| Most comfortable shoes in the world! Purchased these shoes for my husband who is a Chiropractor. He has no arches, bone spurs in the heels of his feet, narrow feet and unfortunately has to be on his feet all day to do his job. He absolutely loves the comfort, support and look of these shoes! They are the most comfortable pair of shoes he has worn in a long time, and will definitely be buying more. | |

| Dansko Carson Review - This is a great shoe, very comfortable and stylish. The only downside is that the shoe may be better suited to the fall and winter months as there is a liner that seems to keep my feet warmer than the traditional Dansko clog-type shoes. I would not hesitate to purchase another pair. In addition, Zappos.com delivery was very quick and I plan to purchase more shoes from this company. :-) | |

lead weights on your feet

I liked the look of these shoes, but the info on the backcountry page does not say how heavy they are. VERY HEAVY. I walked a couple of block to my bank, felt like I had lead weights on my feet, came back and returned them.
