Darn Tough Merino Wool True Seamless Over-The-Calf Padded Ultra-Light Ski Sock Reviews:

Reviews:

These are thin, supportive, close fitting socks. The material feels extremely tight-knit but form fitting. It will not stretch over-time. The feel like an updated (with a shin cushion and no seams) version of the original Smartwools from about 8 years ago- When Smartwools were actually mostly Merino wool (about 85-90%)- tight knit and bullet proof- I still have a couple of those for skiing which are on their last legs. No later smartwools came close in quality as they went cheaper in material. Tried Bridgedales (Very Good but not great), Dahlgrens (OK but do not last-lose shape and become loose), etc. These will do just fine as a replacement. They are actually a better fit than the old Smartwools and just as warm if not warmer-even though they do not have quite the same wool content as my old smartwools.

I really do love these socks, and it is the only sock I wear in winter, on or off hill. They fit amazingly, no weird seems to bother you, they are strong, quality made, and dont stink due to the merino wool.
I got the ultralight because my ski boots fit very snug, and anymore sock will be too much for me. But dont let the thickness throw you, they keep me totally warm on the coldest days.
I am a size 10/10.5 in street shoes and 8.5(26.5) in ski boots, I got mediums and they fit great!

I have been using Darn Tough ultra light socks for years. I tried the new Ultra light padded and liked them even more than the regular Ultra light. Best ski socks I've ever worn. No seam at the toes to bind against the boot and they can be washed hundreds of times. They don't creep down in my boots and the little bit of padding just seems right.

These socks are fantastic. I love how thin they are in most areas with just a bit more padding where you need it in the front. Not much to say, they're comfortable, warm enough and, so far, seem pretty durable. I wear a size 29.0 ski boot, size 12 shoe and the XL's fit me just fine.

...like ever...on and off the hill these bad boys are on his feet. I bought him two pairs and he has worn each intermittently everyday. Thankfully, they never smell, are holding up superiority, and have facilitated in a less-painfull breaking in of his new Dalbello ski boots! Highly recommended

I've been a huge fan of darn tough socks for hiking and work for awhile. After getting their ski sock and using them for a season I'm loving them as well.

I have found my one and only sock company. These socks are incredibly durable and the perfect weight for skiing, hiking or going to work. Also they dont really stink.
