Davis The Original Doel-Fin Hydrofoil -

Get your boat on a plane quickly by increasing the lift generated by the engine. They also allow you to go more slowly while still remaining on a plane, so fuel consumption is decreased.

Performance as advertised

At a friend's suggestion, I installed the hydro foils on both 15 and 25 HP outboards on 14 foot and 16 foot aluminum boats to lower the bow when driving alone in the rear of the boat. The hydrofoils solved the high bow problem, dramatically shortened the time and distance required to plane the boats and at a very low cost. Installation did take more than the 15 minutes suggested in the literature but was time well spent! Am purchasing two more hydrofoils for friends who are having the same issue I used to have.

worth the time and money to install

This is the second set of Doel fins I have used. Had them on older 140 hp twin suzukis, when I put new 140 hp motors on the 29' dive boat with same props saw slow hole shot and having to work to keep it on plane. Put the new set on which took about 30 minutes in the water in the marina, and immediantly noted a improved hole shot under heavy load and planning out at lower rpms and steady . these work and work well on twin motors.

Out of the whole on full plain, awesome!

They were installed on both my 150 hp Merc's and the performance was awesome. Out of the whole on full plain in a shot. Allowed the boat to maintain plain at a slower speed which was amazing. Found to be less cost than going with four bladed prop in this application.
