Detroit Rock Climbing Company V5.12 Hangboard Reviews:
Great variety, but...
I really like this board, but the slopers are in a very bad position. When you grab them they make your elbows knock together and after awhile makes your neck sore. If you have been looking for a hangboard with pinches then you should definitely buy this board, but again, if you are hoping for sloper training this board shouldn't be you first choice. The crimps are very good, the variety allows for lots of different training. Over all I would say this board is maybe a 8.5/10
So I decided to embark on a regimented training period through the winter rather than just noodeling around on the bouldering wall. I researched every available hangboard and decided on the V5.12 because of the dual texture and numerous grip options. After five months of periodization training I'm hanging on to stuff I never could before.
This hangboard has helped me push through the 11's and ready for 12's. The systematic design of in-cut / jug, straight edge, and slopper makes this board ideal and simple for training. Highly suggest getting this board if your looking for something to push your fingers to the next level.
