The Deuter ACT Lite 50+10 is a super lightweight pack with tons of room and exceptional back ventilation. Details include contoured shoulder straps, two side mesh pockets and a top lid pocket. The elastic cord compression system can also be used to store items on the outside of the pack and is hydration system compatible for easy access to your water.
Being more technical than most other packs in their size (and price range!), the Deuter ACT Lites are an excellent choice for peak bagging and ski touring.

The ACT Lite 50+10 Backpack uses Deuter’s Vari-Quick harness system and Hollow-core X stays to easily support 40-pound loads for long-distance hikes. Two lid pockets and two side mesh pockets help you keep the little stuff from disappearing in the 3050cu inch main compartment. Deuter included a bottom sleeping bag compartment for easy packing in the morning, and a multi-section compression system lets you cinch this pack to a tiny size on shorter hikes without all the overnight gear.

Absolutely phenomenal pack. I tried the Kestral 48 and the Atmos 50, which had the features I was looking for but the straps were killer on my shoulders if I was carrying a loaded pack. I tried a Gregory Z55, which had more comfortable straps but was a bit minimalist in terms of features. This Deuter was my answer. | |
