| Recently got this pack and had a chance to load some gear and wear it around the house. Initial impression: Nice pack! The pack felt very comfortable with about 15lbs of gear and I was able to pack some bulky (but light) items in it. The top load with panel access is a great idea. I also like the fact that it is a non-trampoline style back so there is no pack curve to limit what gets loaded where. The hip belt felt good but only had one small pocket on one side. Two slightly larger pockets would be a nice future improvement. Seems to have a lot of features for the pack size. I intend to use this pack as a larger technical daypack and it looks like it will have no problems handling that job. I will post an update after I get it on the trail. | |

Deuter ACT 32 review | |

I did quite a bit of research before getting this pack. I wanted something with a good suspension, an option for a hydration bladder, extra pockets, and a quick way to get to a shell when nordic skiing or hiking. My old Lowe daypack took a lot of abuse but finally needed to be retired after 15 years or so. I'm a bit over 6'4" and this pack seems comfortable. The rain cover is a very nice extra. Looking forward to doing a lot of field testing! | |

| Follow up review here. Just tested this for a couple of day hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park. Everything reported in the 2009-05-14 review stands. The pack felt great and performed as expected. Versatile pack, well worth the money. It handled everything from snow & light rain without a wetting through to sunny and 70 degrees without making my back too sweaty. Once again, nice pack! | |
