Deuter might be the best...

| I bought this pack specifically for work uses, and for 2-3 day trips for work. I have found it useful in carrying my gear for 2-3 days out on the road, and moving through airports. It swallows all of my gear, plus a laptop, associated cords and plugs, and other items without any trouble at all. And with airlines trying to charge you for everything these days, it goes easily on the plane with no. No lost luggage for short trips. I also use this pack for my daily work to and fro. It functions well in that capacity as well. What I didn't think I would use this for would be for day hiking trips. I found it very useful for this function as well. Good storage for anything and everything that a day hiker would need out on the trail. The padding is comfortable, the strapping is highly adjustable, and it comes with sternum strap, and a waist strap to stabilize the load. The Airstrips on the back also function to allow air to flow through as you're using it. Overall, it's an incredible pack, for not much money. I expect to get years of use out of this pack for certain, and like other Deuter products I've used, it's top notch in construction, and in quality. | |

Extremely versatile and well-built.

| I use the backpack every day to get to and from work on my motorcycle. It stuffs easily in my side case and works equally well on my back. Ample room for computer, books, SLR camera, snacks, water--you name it. My criteria for purchasing was quality and Deuter delivers just that. I see no reason why this pack won't last for years. Side pockets work great for keys and such but watch out carrying the tall water bottles here--you might lose it! | |

Very Good Backpack For All Occasions

| I've already had a bigger backpack from Deuter (Futura Pro 38) that I use for hitchhiking, and that one proved to be very durable and comfortable; so I wanted something similar for use in the city, which at the same time, can serve as a business backpack. The cross city, especially in that color (black) is perfectly fit for these needs, and it's also a very large capacity being not too bulky at the same time. | |

A great multi-use backback

| A few too many straps to make it the perfect commute backpack, but the multiple pockets make it a great organizer. And for airline travel, it can't be beat. | |

Not Bad | |

| Overall this is a very comfortable bag. It has good compartments. I would have liked a strap that secures water bottles. I am afraid the mesh and reinforced elastic band will deteriorate and reduce the water bottle carrying capacity over time. I purchased a black bag and the color began to fade within 2 weeks. This really irked me. I needed a bag so I kept it. The ventilation system does not function well once temperatures reach above 80 degrees. A casual walk from the subway to work wearing a polo or dress shirt will leave your back soaked (I follicly challenged). The adjustable straps are great. The bottom padding has good cushioning for my 14 inch PC laptop, but I'd recommend using a laptop sleeve. Wil | |
