Whether you're a seasoned rider looking for an economical addition to your cycling shoe collection or you're looking to try clipping into your mountain bike for the first time, the Diadora X Phantom is up to the task.
The X Phantom was constructed upon Diadora's Sport MTB sole. This sole is fiberglass reinforced nylon, which is durable but stiff to provide support for your feet as well as efficient power transfer to the pedals. The uppers are molded from TPU, thermoplastic polyurethane, a durable compound that hold its shape. This construction helps to keep the shoes tight against your feet and minimizes the stretching that occurs as the shoes wear in. The molded heel support helps to keep your heel locked in place so that you don't slip and slide, and the sole of the Phantom X features heavy lugs to grip the trail so you don't slip.
The Phantom shoes are designed to fit with a secure heel hold and a comfortable, supportive midsole in much the same fashion as the X Vortex, the shoe that Diadora's sponsored riders wear. The primary difference is that the fit, Race Plus, is wider at the toe box for a little extra room, which makes them perfect for riders with a slightly wider foot. For retention, the Phantom X Shoes use a two-strap hook and loop system. And, as a part of this system, there are dual rings. If your feet are narrow you'll want to use the second ring. If they're wide, use the first ring. You'll find that no matter what shape your feet are, the shoes will still fit comfortably.
The Diadora Phantom X is available in whole sizes from 37.0 to 50.0 and in two colorways: Black/silver/white and Black/yellow/white.
