Diamond Archery Atomic Blue Package Reviews:

Don't let the packaging fool you!

I have to say I spent months researching a bow to buy my 6yr old (just turned 6). I considered the Nuclear Ice (comparable $$) and thought about spending more money on the Infinity Edge. At the end of the day I settled on this one because I wanted to make sure he enjoyed archery as much as he said he did and I wanted him to learn some of the basics before going to a release/peep sight set up. In the end, I couldn't be happier. He loves the bow! It is extremely easy to adjust the draw weight. It comes at 19lbs and I dialed it down with the turn of an Allen wrench at first but we're already back up. One night, the bow was sitting in extremely cold weather and he pulled it back. The string popped off but I was able to easily put it back on without the need of a bow press or any tools (other than an Allen Wrench). The sight is easily adjustable. Comes with a quiver and rest. This is the perfect set up for a beginner. Don't let the cardboard package fool you. This bow is extremely real! He's shot hundreds of arrows since Christmas with no issues...love it!

Best Starter Bow Around!

The Diamond Atomic was purchased for our son's 7th birthday. Having three other Bowtech/Diamond bows in the fleet it was a natural pick after he struggled with one of those cheaper 'compound' bows for several months. The lack of a peep sight and string loop for a release on the Atomic was a bit frustrating for him to start with, but that was easy to remedy since the bow could be turned down to a draw weight where these items could be installed without a bow press. Once he had a youth release and a peep sight tied in he was getting all three arrows touching at 5 yards. With it now turned up to 15 lbs and the pins spread as far apart as they can be, he is dialed for 5, 10 & 15 yards. He would shoot it all day if we would let him! I even trade off with him myself when I get tired of pulling the draw weight of my own. Do yourself a favor and buy this one FIRST to avoid a pile of lesser bows in the closet.

great little bow package

This is a great little bow package. I bought it for my 6 year old son and he enjoys shooting it. The amount of adjustment for both draw and weight is perfect for small shooters and I would imagine he'll be shooting this for a few years until he's big and strong enough to shoot a larger bow. Even though it's a youth setup it's still a real bow, with real sight and rest, and it shoots pretty fast considering. We went through a couple of the cheap bows you can find at the usual big box stores and they didn't do much for him.

Diamond Bow

Very user friendly the draw length and weight are very easy to set. Nice shooter for kids or small adults.
