Do-All Backyard 3/4-Cock Single Trap Reviews:

Do-All Backyard 3/4-Cock Single Trap

EXCELLENT PRODUCT! I Can't speak more highly about it's performance so far! I purchased this back yard Clay thrower for a pre-duck season, family/shooting party. The night before, I opened the box and started the assembly. I'd rate the directions O.K. to fair. But looking at the pictures and the box, it wasn't to bad to complete the assemble. On all the Bolts I added some PERMATEX RED, thread locking adhesive (not included). This is not my first rodeo boyz. After I got it fully assembled; I read the directions about setting the spring tension on the thrower arm, "I adjusted it exactly as suggested; not over-tightening it." I was a little hesitant about not cranking it down for more power, but was absolutely amazed at how nice and smooth it did throw the birds the very first time I used it. Each bird flew about 65/75 yrds. consistently. I wasn't going to use the included (RED SAFETY CORD) that goes around the thrower arm, but was glad I did; it is a safety necessity when children are present. When I got the thrower out to my shooting area, my family was very pleased with it's fit and finish. We used the machines sturdy legs instead of attaching it to my pickups tow receiver hitch. This is a good looking machine. I chose the 3/4 cock thrower because my upper body is not as strong as it used to be due to injuries I incurred while serving in Iraq. What 3/4 (thrower) means is that once the release lever is pulled and the clay has been thrown, the physical throwing arm comes to a stop 3/4's of the way around the circumference of the full throwing circle. Leaving you only 1/4 of the remaining distance to cock the machine to it's ready position. Very helpful if you are going to throw hundreds of birds in one day. This machine is built well and the seat is comfortable for hours of loading but I will cut and Glue on a 1" foam pad to the bottom of the seat. Once we got set up, it is very easy to adjust, and will throw standard single birds at very reliable and smooth speeds. After over 400 birds, it never broke one bird prematurely as it came out of the throwing arm. It will shoot some nice straight and low, fast side to side and very nice high shots! We had at least four to five shooters (on the line) at all times and no one ever waited for the person on the thrower. I did throw a few stacked double birds; and this thrower did not like them. I would think with a little more experience, you could make it throw them fine, but for me, it wasn't a go. It tended to break the top/stacked clay. As far as the (throwing physical Arm clip) goes, I am confident it will throw nice rabbits. The thrower arm clip is also fully tension/adjustable. Along with the basic thrower, included at CABELA'S was the (Wobbly) thrower arm/pivoting knuckle. The articulating (knuckle) is a must and easy to install; allowing you to throw clays at any and all angles. This is my second thrower of four we have used, and I was very impressed! As a former trap coach, I can expect years and thousands of clays to be thrown by this machine! I have no doubt it will hold up! Good Luck and shoot safely!

good thrower

Have only used thrower once but was everything I expected. Easy to assemble and use. We had a great time shooting with it and hope for many years of fun with it. It is easy to adjust but you do have to youtube a video to see what the adjustments did before heading out to use it.

Good purchase

Works good as stated on the box. I would have gave it 5 stars but a few nuts and one bolt were missing in the box during assembly.
