I was in search of a replacement for a pair of Kenneth Cole dress boots. After a lot of searching, I decided on these. They fit like a glove as soon as you get them. The interior is well-cushioned and the leather is a soft brushed napa, so there wasn't a break-in period. They are so comfy that I can wear them all day.The zipper on the side helps extremely well with putting the boots on; it's not a struggle like with other boots I own. Despite the fact that I was looking for dress boots, I've found that you can wear them with anything - business casual to casual. (I recently wore them all week at a conference.) It has that nice subtle edginess to it. I was originally apprehensive because I had never heard of the brand Donald J Pliner and the price seemed steep at this cost, but I decided to take a chance anyway. I'm going to add this brand to my favorites. Bonus kudos for not-being-made in China!
