Very Bright for LED

I bought 4 of these and installed them so two would face aft and two forward. I have a 42' Grand Banks Trawler and it lights my fishing cockpit very nicely. I haven't tried them with the FM stereo on but when I tested the lights I was listening to the stereo and I didn't hear any interference. I especially like the sturdiness of this product and think it's built to last.

Great light for replacing Halogen's

Very heavy duty light and is very bright like my halogens, but hardly any battery draw! Can keep these on for a long time without worry of battery drain. They look good too!
Returned my Taco's and got these. Worth the money if they hold up long term. Had to find an LED due to battery drain.

great light

Installed one on my 22 foot, center console boat for the aft deck light. Amazing light with low battery draw. Also using two on a commercial tractor/snow blower. Pricey but they deliver as promised.

Negative Reviews:

Excellent for lighting, but....

These lights are bright and well built. However, you must turn them off to send or receive on your marine radio or just listening to AM/FM.

I contacted the owner two years ago about the problem and he refused to address the issue nor would he try to reproduce the problem.

I would not recommend these lights for marine use.

I have emails to document.

Fixing RFI / EMI problems

I have had similar problems with fluorescent lights. An easy fix for EMI / RFI interference is to snap a cheap ferrite core EMI filter (google it) around power & ground wires next to the light. You could also solder a ceramic capacitor between the power leads at the connection but this requires more knowledge.
