I knew what I was getting when ordered these. They are not the Docs of old. They aren't leather. They don't have the uber pronounced Bouncing Sole. But, again, I (more or less) knew what I was getting. They don't provide much (read: any) arch support, so if you are on your feet all day...these are probably not the shoe for you. However, I did just see that there are now Doc Marten specific insoles for sale. So there's that. They are a low profile, casual shoe. How they hold up, remains to be seen. As of now though...they are fine. They're great. Whatever. It's a shoe. That being said everyone and anyone I've dealt with at zappos.com have been fantastic. Over-the-top helpful and extraordinarily accommodating. So keep doing what you all do.
I ordered these shoes because the description said slip resistant. I am a restaurant chef and they are definitely not. I am very disappointed as I cannot return them
Disagree with the other other reviewers here...these are great! Look great, feel great & will be getting a 2nd pair.

Very uncomfortable shoes and they feel flimsy as well. Yes they look like bowling shoes... I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered them. I like Docs, just not these.
Horrible shoes in general, and definitely does not carry any of the common Dr. Martens comforts. Very bad and uncomfortable shoes, disgrace for the Dr. Martin brand.
