| Good at first, but doesn't hold up like it should... At first I thought these boots would be a great replacement for my previous Doc's that I'd been wearing at work for a year. These seemed to fit me better and support my feet better, however there are a few things that should be addressed. 1) The stitching. Stitching around the sole doesn't extend all the way to the toe box, so that will be one of the first places of separation. Also, there are a few spots where Dr. Martens forgot to double stitch the fabric, like around the mesh/canvas vent (especially on the inside edge of the outsole). 2) Tread. The tread looks really aggressive but it's not very deep, and is made of somewhat softer rubber then my previous Doc work boots. Concluding - A very comfortable boot, good looking, but with some design issues. If you happen to be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day moving around on concrete floors, maybe not the best choice. | |
