Dr. Slick Mitten Clamp -
No finger loops here! This series was designed for angling in cold weather where gloves or mittens are the norm, or for tangling with big fish. If you’ve ever had your knuckles mashed by a powerful fish, the beauty of these clamps becomes apparent. Excellent for salmon and steelheaders. Simply squeeze the clamp all the way through the ratchets to release. To close, squeeze until the ratchets lock. This one-hand wonder is spring-loaded, has a wrist lanyard, and can easily handle all streamside tasks.

• Half Smooth and Half Cross Hatch Jaw Structure.
• Available in Straight Jaw Only.
• No Pin.
• Wrist Lanyard Included.
• Finish: Gold Handles.
• Size: 5.5 in.

The scissor clamps can be used when wearing gloves. The front half acts as a clamp for pinching barbs and removing flies. The back half has cutting blades.
Available: 4-3/4", 5-1/2" length.

Must have!

This tool has the ability to do it all and easily with one hand operation. I just return from a fishing trip with my three kids (ages 10, 8 and 6) and I had this tool in my hand almost the whole time. It does everything from cut line, punch out painted eyelets on jig heads to crimping weights and removing hooks from the fishes mouth. My Dad and Brother are on the way to Cabela's to pick up their own.

The best!

These things are awesome. Very nice blend of power and size -- they are not so big as to be cumbersome but have enough strength to crimp split shot, even stubborn tin. One-handed opening, very sharp scissors, and a useful eye-clearing tool built in (doesn't break like many I have owned). All around great value for the money.

Craftmanship spotty

Have bought Dr. Slicks for years, 4th pair. Got them excited, tried to open them with one hand and found that they stick. Forced me to break out the Dremmel tool and do some quick grinding to fix the problem. Only down side of buying them on-line.
