Dri Dek cockpit
I purchased Dri Dek for the cockpit to replace a deteriorated teak grate. It was easy to fit and looked good installed.it is very comfortable to stand on when wearing shoes but a little rough for bare feet. The biggest problem was that when things got intense in the cockpit it slid across the fiberglass so didn't provide a stable footing. I was going to use this as a permanent solution but now am planning on replacing it with a teak grate at some point. I will move the Dri Dek to the bottom of my cockpit locker
Dri Dek solves our problem.
I put these on the bottom of the storage lockers, to keep everything dry and clean. The bottom of the beverage refer, keeps bottles, cans, etc. from rolling around. In the freezer the best place is up against the freezer plate. We had a problem of things freezing to the plate...these provide a layer of protection and still lets the freezer perform efficently. Very easy to install and cut to fit. And looks neat and clean. To clean them just remove and wash with some sudsing amonia and hose off....
Dry, non-slip, easy to cut...
Became aware of the product years ago when it was already in place on a Hunter 23 that I bought. After moving up to my Hunter 28 I discovered that I needed to put down a towel or rug or something in the cockpit to avoid tracking into the cabin. Six squares of this material was all I needed to create a stable dry surface for my cockpit floor. Love it.
Better than expected!
Yes, I fall down less now. Especially after those slippery Wahoo's. These mats are also useful for wild jumpy fishes when first put on decks. Just lift any side and simply cover the fish until it calms down (or croaks). I find it useful for seating too especially on rough sea days when everything gets wet. Only regret is I should of bought them sooner.
How I use them
I use Dri Dek Panels in all my storage compartments in my Triton Bay Boat. If some water
gets in, nothing gets wet. Also, the panels keep
tackle boxes and othe stored things from sliding
around. Helps the comparment to dry faster too, without having to take everything out, and the panels can be trimed to fit your comparment.
Dri Dek in our old wood boat
I bought Dri Dek to keep things in the under-bow storage area off the floor board planks. Dri Dek lets air circulate around the items in storage so there is no mildew or mold and stored things don't get wet from direct contact.
Excellent product - does the job
Works well for intended application - I use it under SCUBA tanks to keep them from marring my boat's deck. But they are also great for keeping things from sliding around in a cabin, or for keeping your feet from slipping.
Very useful product.
These Dri-Dek panels last forever. I first bought some over ten years ago and I'm still using it in storage lockers and under the cushions. I keep finding more uses on my boat. It protects the boat and keeps everything drier.
Tried finding something else that would be cheaper and I just couldn't find anything so I finally decided this was a good value. You can easily cut the pieces to fit your storage space.
a good product
Four Dri-tek panels fit nicely into the small bathroom floor of my Casita trailer,by trimming two of them. Haven't used it yet, but it looks nice and of good quality. Panels snap together securely.
