Duckett Micromagic Split-Grip Spinning Rods -
Their biggest advantages are their smallest features – microguides that significantly reduce weight and improve rod balance. Even through they’re tiny (12 will fit on a dime), ring-lock microguides are more than tough enough for tournament fishing. Smaller guides also mean more line-to-guide contact for greater sensitivity. Lightweight, powerful Sensi-Touch™ multimodulus graphite blanks perfectly match the revolutionary microguides. They’re outfitted with cork grips and comfort-grip reel seats.

Very Good

Bought this about a month ago but mine has an all cork handle and not the black piece shown on all the pictures on the top half of the hand grip. I have a 6' 6" med. and it is very sensitive to strikes due to the microguide technology. I have it paired with a Revo PRM 30 spinning reel and have noticed no ( line slap at all ) using 15 lb. Power Pro braided line. The rod is strong, casts great, is super sensitive and I don't miss near as many fish since getting this. I would highly recommend and in fact just bought a 2nd microguide spinning rod, ( Field and Stream Elite ) with power hump handle which is about half the price of this Duckett and is also a fine rod. The microguides do make rods more sensitive to strikes and I highly recommend this rod for all around fishing of any type. I use weightless worms, shakeyheads, wacky worms, spinners, jigs, cranks and other baits and this one does well with all and gets great casting distances on even the lightest baits. It was also apparent from first time out that casting accuracy is great as well. I think for the price this is a very good rod, with a very good fit and finish as well.

Micro Magic

This rod is very sensitive and light. I never get worn out when I use these rods. I currently have two of them and I will be buying more. I have the 7' rod and the 6'6" and not a single complaint on any of them. You can tell what you are fishing around because they are sensitive. If it's rock or even submerged timber you can feel it with these rods. The lightest bites are felt and once you get that bite you have the power and backbone to get a great hook set.
