Dynafit Gaia TF-X Ski Boot - Dynafit Gaia TF-X Alpine Touring Ski Boots - Women's 2012: The Dynafit Gaia TF-X Alpine Touring Ski Boots are for women freeride tourers looking for the world's best balance of downhill performance and up-hill touring comfort, and compatibility with all alpine style bindings as well as AT bindings. Finally, hard-charging touring skiers can get the performance they want with a true women's-specific design!

Fabric:

  • Pebax® Heel Booster increases the torsional rigidity and the lateral support of the boot without adding more material, or the standard “dual density” plastics that make other boots heavier.
  • Alpine Overlap construction allows maximum support for downhill ski mode and an unbelievable range of motion for walk-ability and skinning. The Titan walk/tour range of motion is superior in both forward and REAR motion.

Support and Cushioning:

  • The Dynafit TF-X Liner is the first liner to combine fully customized thermoform-ability with the durability, comfort, and plastic reinforced tongue of a traditional alpine boot liner. The NEW TF-X liner, specifically developed for freeride-touring boots, is the most supportive, comfortable, and durable thermoformable liner on the market. It’s pre-molded on a very anatomical last and can also be used right out of the box.

Traction and Grip:

  • Dyna Grip sole

Comfort:

  • 4 Micro Adjustable Magnesium buckles are lightweight and durable and allow a perfect boot closure. They feature movable catches for closure customization and floatable touring hooks for up-hill performance and comfort.

Straps:

  • VELCRO® Brand Fastener power strap

Features:

  • 15 degree, 21 degree + release for walking
  • Ski/walk mode with rear toggle lever and 30˚ cuff rotation
  • PU shell and cuff
  • Women's specific design is cut lower and wider in the cuff to better accommodate female lower leg anatomy.
  • Quick-Step-In inserts dramatically improve the ability to step into Dynafit bindings with ease, making a world of difference.
  • Micro-adjustable magnesium buckles keep weight at a minimum
  • Relatively narrow mid-foot and heel
  • Triple Binding Sole – provides full alpine-style-binding-compatibility with easily changeable toe and heel sets with Dynafit Quick-Step-in / ISO Touring / ISO Alpine
  • 102 mm last

If Dynafit had made boots back in ancient-Greek times, Athena probably would have leapt out of Zeus’ head wearing the Women’s Gaia TF-X Ski Boot. Full body armor and warfare can wait when there’s virgin pow to shred.

Dynafit Gaia TF-X Ski Boot Review:

Reviews:

Awesome! This boots fit great, flex great on the way up, and stay sturdy on the way down. It's nice to have a boot you can take with you anywhere, inbounds and out, and still trust it to hold up to some serious skiing and keep your feet warm on the coldest of days.
