Dynastar Cham 97 Ski - Women's: Winner of the "2013 Gear of the Year" with a "5 out-of-5", the Cham 97 delivers high-performance freeride versatility that excels in the most demanding terrain and snow conditions. Cham's combination of long tip rocker, 5-point sidecut, and real-deal titanal sandwich construction delivers incredible power, maneuverability and float. The unique flat/pintail design enhances tip float in the deepest snow conditions, offers instant speed control, phenomenal ease-of-use, and provides all-mountain power, tracking and stability that redefines "freeride" performance. Built in the heart of Chamonix, the Cham 97 is also available in the lightweight "High Mountain" construction for more nimble and accessible performance whether skiing all-mountain or backcountry touring.
The Dynastar Women's Cham 97 Ski is the eager-to-please middle child of the Cham family of big-mountain-to-backside skis. It's got a fat, long, rockered tip, mid-fat waist, and classic camber underfoot. So it can ride like the wind just about anywhere. Its Five-point sidecut features a reverse cut at the tip and tail to eliminate grabbing or wash-outs, and its flat pintail adds super stability and pop from turn to turn. Backside? Definitely. And hard-charging straightlines, tight turns, and everything in-between. This isn't a ski for a beginner, but it does have a lightweight paulownia wood core and fiberglass laminate for maneuverability and ease of use.
