E-Z Up Sierra Instant Shelter Reviews:

Quick Setup!

Bought the EZ Up (10') Enclosure and 2 sets of Side Panels on a friends recommendation.
One the BEST and MOST VERSATILE enclosure systems I've ever used.
Even while following the instructions extra closely, two people of average height (and intellect) can put the enclosure together (and up) the first time in about 10-15 minutes.
The form fitted side panels...well...they were the most compelling reason for buying the EZ Up in the first place...after years of fighting with mismatched tarps and bungee cords, these were an ABSOLUTE TREAT to put up. No lies - 30 seconds per side, single handed!!
Easily stood up to Dec-Jan heavy frosts and the SW wind gusts common on Olympic Peninsula (WA).
My only criticism(s) would be with the tapered-leg design of the unit which:
1) precludes you from flipping the side panels top-to-bottom as wear, dirt, etc... occur, and
2) make it difficult to erect the enclosure closely to another or tight to the side of a structure, without having a gap in overhead protection from the elements.
Minor issues for most people, but noteworthy from my initial experiences and use in field. All in all TWO THUMBS UP and a very HIGH 4-STAR RATING. ****

Great Item

Purchased this unit and a much more expensive unit and during a recent fishing trip to the White Mountains in Arizona, the sierra went up easily and with a little extra bracing from the top 4 corners to the groung it withstood very heavy rain and strong wind. The expensive unit failed, I was unable to get it up to its full open state, it set on the ground next to the sierra in shame. A great item if you use a little extra care.

Works great

I got the smaller 10' size to use for camping at bluegrass festivals and such. I set it up for the first time at night and it was a snap. I wouldn't leave it up in winds of 30+ mph, but up to that point, it was pretty stable. Great shade and makes a great awning.

great for mild weather

These shelters are great for family outings and I have gave each of my daughters one for their Christmas. However, these do ok in mild wind but even with anchors we had one tear loose. Just use as intended and you'll be happy with the purchase.
