I recently tried these out and found that the worms are so thin that it's difficult to get a hook in properly along with the fact that after a cast and later retrieve, the worms were gone. I finally had to use a salmon egg hook which allowed me to run the hook several times through the worm. Then, nothing bothered to hit the lure.
This stringer is heavy duty. However I was using this for the fall salmon run in Michigan, stringer was not able to hold 5 king salmon while left in water. The eyelet broke causing use to loose one fish that day. This item is great if not pushed to the extreme.
