Not so happy

I'm disappointed that there's only one set of straps - this makes things a lot more complicated and time consuming to switch back and forth. The reason why I considered this bag was versatility but this configuration make things not as practical. Also, the main bag and the removable sac held together makes it too bulky to carry for someone my size - almost makes me lose my balance, unless I lean forward. There's an option to carry the removable sac in front, but I just don't want to walk around like that. Also, I would also like to see more colors in the future iterations.

A bit disappointed

I had a previous version of the switchback which after two major trip the zipper was ripping from the seam. Got this new version and I have to say I am majorly disappointed that the straps from the main bag are detachable to put on the small backpack. My old version the detachable pack had it's own straps. This is means when having to re-check bags to customs I have to now, remove the straps, zip the day pack to the main bag (or slide over the handle) put the straps on the main compartment then carry the entire thing on my back to handle my two checked luggage- this equals a lot of time being wasted to catch another flight. I do like the new pockets on the front of the main compartment, but would still like a pocket in the inside, like in the previous version (to put small items that can be pilfered). I also like the re-worked backpack. I'd recommend this once it's re-worked and more practical. I would have gotten the REI version but it doesn't fit a 15" laptop.
